1. Overview

PumpyDumpy2Visual ("Software") is a desktop application that performs editing and export locally on your computer. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Software does and does not collect.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

The Software does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

  • Personal data (name, email, address, phone number)
  • Telemetry or usage statistics
  • Analytics or tracking data
  • Your files, projects, audio, images, or any created content
  • Browsing history, cookies, or device fingerprints

3. Network Requests

The Software may make the following limited network requests:

License Validation (Paid Pro or Studio Access Only)

When a license key is entered for paid Pro or Studio access, the Software communicates with the license validation service operated by Lemon Squeezy, Inc. at api.lemonsqueezy.com to activate, validate, or deactivate the license key. The only data transmitted is:

  • The license key
  • An instance identifier (machine name)
  • An instance ID

This validation occurs approximately every 7 days. If validation cannot be completed, a 7-day offline grace period is provided before the Software reverts to the Free Edition.

Release Feed

When the About tab checks for the latest version, the Software requests the public release feed at https://pumpydumpy2visual.com/data/releases.json. This request is used only to show version, release notes, installer size, and download link information. It does not upload projects, media files, settings, license keys, or usage analytics.

The Software does not automatically install updates. If the release feed cannot be reached, core editing and export features continue to work offline, except for license validation when a paid license needs renewal within its grace period.

4. Local Storage

The Software stores the following data locally on your computer only:

  • Application settings and preferences
  • Recent project file paths
  • License key cache (encrypted, paid Pro or Studio access only)
  • Auto-save recovery files

None of this data is ever transmitted to any server or third party.

5. This Website vs. The App

It is important to distinguish between our Desktop App and this Website (pumpydumpy2visual.com).

  • The Desktop App performs editing and export locally. It contains no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry; limited network requests are described in Section 3.
  • This Website uses basic analytics. To understand how people find and navigate our website, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated data (such as page views and click events).

See Google’s Privacy Policy. You can use browser extensions or settings to block these analytics scripts if you prefer. We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

Other resources on the site

The website also loads externally hosted resources for normal functionality:

  • RemixIcon font from jsDelivr CDN
  • Embedded YouTube video player (youtube.com) where a page includes a video
  • Optional links to Lemon Squeezy for Pro or Studio checkout

The website may store your language preference in the browser’s localStorage for convenience. That value stays in your browser unless you clear site data.

6. Third-Party Payment Processing

Purchases of paid Pro or Studio access are processed by Lemon Squeezy, Inc., which handles payment information (credit card, billing address, etc.) under its own privacy policy. PumpyDumpy does not have access to your payment details.

7. Children's Privacy

The Software is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

For the desktop Software, we do not collect personal data as described in sections 2–4. For website visits, analytics data may be processed by Google as described in Section 5; you may exercise rights or controls through Google’s tools and your browser settings. If you have questions, you can contact us.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal data is processed (none by the Software on our servers; website analytics may be processed by Google as in Section 5)
  • Request deletion of any data (we do not host personal datasets from the Software; for GA4-related data, see Google’s processes)
  • Object to data processing where applicable (browser controls; Google settings for analytics)
  • File a complaint with your local data protection authority

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
